Rovereto, Vallagarina e Monte Baldo
Rovereto and Vallagarina: where nature, culture and taste meet
Situated just north of Verona, Vallagarina has long been a crossroads of cultures, connecting the plains with the mountains. The city of Rovereto, in the heart of the valley, has its roots in 15th century Venetian rule and institutions founded in the 18th century, as well as excellent international museums, such as the Mart and the MITAG War Museum. However, culture is not confined to the city; there are also many educational opportunities in the surrounding area, such as the Astronomical Observatory on Monte Zugna and the sites of the Great War, which are rich in trenches and walkways.
Vallagarina's landscape remains almost unchanged, with prized vineyards on the valley floor crossed by the Adige River and dominated by castles and ancient villages. The pre-Alpine pastures of Brentonico in the Monte Baldo Park and the rocky peaks of the Little Dolomites in Vallarsa offer a variety of accommodation options, ranging from modern to intimate and traditional.
This is a valley to explore all year round, with a wide range of outdoor activities and food and wine events.
Discover Vallagarina, the gateway to Trentino. We look forward to seeing you
